About
My name is Ravindra Jayanth (Jay) Katta.
I am a cloud engineer, data enthusiast, lifelong learner, husband, and father. I currently live in Texas, where I work with cloud platforms, databases, and data systems while continuously learning how technology shapes the world around us.
But my life is not only about technology.
I believe life is built the same way great systems are built — through small improvements, thoughtful design, and patience over time.
This website is my digital notebook.
Here I write about the things I am learning and experiencing:
-
Cloud computing and data engineering
-
Discipline, habits, and personal growth
-
Health, fitness, and metabolic well-being
-
Lessons from fatherhood
-
Reflections on life and resilience
Over the years I have worked with databases, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms, and I enjoy understanding how complex systems work — whether it is a distributed system in the cloud or the habits that shape a human life.
Recently my interests have expanded into long-term health, Low Carb diet, strength training, and metabolic health, because I believe the mind and body are part of the same system.
One of the greatest transformations in my life has been becoming a father. My daughter reminds me every day that time moves quickly, and that the most meaningful things in life are often the simplest — attention, patience, curiosity, and presence.
So this blog serves a simple purpose:
To document the journey.
Not only the successes, but also the experiments, questions, mistakes, and lessons along the way.
If something here helps someone learn faster, think deeper, or live a little better, then the writing has served its purpose.
And perhaps one day, years from now, my daughter may read these pages and see the path her father walked while learning how to become a better human.
